Stress-related ailments cost companies billions a year in increased absenteeism, not to mention the crippling loss of talented workers.  The HSE (Health & Safety Executive) estimated that 526,000 workers in the UK suffered from work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2016/17. 12.5 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2016.  This is on the increase. (1) The NHS in the UK has approved the research in to mindfulness in the workplace, the research shows:

  • More present workforce
  • Improved well-being
  • Improved productivity
  • Improved creativity
  • Improved self-regulation
  • Less absenteeism
  • Better communication & interpersonal relating

Mindfulness enables people to keep a “presence”. Which is the ability to stay with any given situation in the present. It inhibits running ahead in to one’s future or running over one’s past. It allows time to think and focus on what is happening right now.  Enabling one to think clearly, to be authentic, to maintain boundaries and to remain calm.

Research suggests that promoting mindfulness in a workplace results in happier staff.  Happier staff help a company work effectively.  We run courses of mindfulness in to corporations with sessions of up to 10 people at one given time. Courses can be held in the workplace or at a location provided by Anima Therapy
